Shyla Freeland
Lead Teacher
Ms. Shyla is a former homeschool teacher to her 3 children who now attend public school as high schoolers
and a middle schooler. Ms. Shyla is currently enrolled at Larimer County Community College in Cheyenne.
She is working on her Associate Degree in Legal Services to become a paralegal.
Ms. Shyla loves the way children's brains work and their vivid imagination. Anything can become part
of a magical world that does something fantastic in their eyes.
In her free time, Ms. Shyla practices many granny style hobbies that involve yarn. She has been a knitter
for almost 20 years. It started out as a way to make her kids blankets and garments and has led her on a wool
journey to learn how yarn is made. She likes entering her knitted projects into a fair each year to see if her
skills are good enough to make it to the Wyoming State fair. She also enjoys weaving, spinning yarn, and embroidering
when she is not knitting. In the warmer months, she likes to camp, hike and paddleboard as much as possible.
